Meet This Month’s Rebels:

Currently Mark Levy is advising new CHRO’s on their people and culture strategies and organization, as well as mission, values and culture. Mark is also a public speaker on the topics of The Shift to EX, Growth By Design, and Belonging.

In addition, Mark is an advisor to HR tech start ups and VCs, helping underestimated founders get initial funding and resources to start and grow their businesses.

Previously, at Airbnb, his team pioneered the shift from HR to Employee Experience, which has since created significant changes in the way organizations globally are looking at expanding the HR function to focus on the entire employee journey. 

Mark has been actively involved in giving back, including helping organizations enable their employees to help those less fortunate through volunteering programs and community involvement.

Joy Rothschild is a dynamic and accomplished human resources executive with 28 years of experience as a strategic business partner, change agent and champion of initiatives that directly impact profitability, customer retention and satisfaction. In 2019, she celebrated 40 years with Omni Hotels & Resorts, and currently serves as chief human resources officer for the brand.

Joy is the creator and keeper of Omni’s culture. During her tenure, she developed six key cultural pillars that the company’s associates use and reference daily. Omni is a seven-time winner of Dallas Morning News’ Top 100 Places to Work, and in 2019, Glassdoor recognized Omni as one of the Best Places to Work, further proving Rothschild dedication to company culture.

Edie Goldberg, Ph.D. is the Founder & President of E.L. Goldberg & Associates in Menlo Park, California. She is a nationally recognized expert in talent management and the future of work. Her practice focuses on designing human resources processes and programs to attract, engage, develop, and retain employees.

Edie is the co-author of The Inside Gig: How Sharing Untapped Talent Across Boundaries Unleashes Organizational Capacity (Wonderwell, 2020) and Flipping the Script on Performance Management: From Evaluation to Enablement, a chapter in the forthcoming Handbook on the Practice of Industrial / Organizational Psychology: Leveraging Psychology for Individual and Organizational Effectiveness (Oxford University Press, 2022).

In addition, she is the Chair-Elect of the SHRM Foundation Board of Directors, past recipient of HR People + Strategy’s Lifetime Achievement Award for contributions she has made to her profession, and she is a member of the Board of Advisors to several HR technology companies.
